Today, we stand with girls around the world.

On International Day of the Girl Child, the International Awareness & Involvement Committee of the Dade County Alumnae Chapter recognizes the 2026 theme, “End child marriage and invest in girls’ rights.”

Every girl deserves the opportunity to experience childhood fully, receive an education, live safely, make choices about her future, and dream without limits.

When we invest in girls, we are not simply investing in who they are today. We are investing in the women, leaders, innovators, educators, entrepreneurs, and change-makers they can become.

Her childhood matters. Her rights matter. Her future matters.
