The South Florida Human Trafficking Task Force in partnership with International Rescue Committee Florida, Citrus Health Network, Inc. Citrus Family Care Network, Survivors Pathway, The Women's Fund Miami, AHF South, Enriched Foods Miami, Miami-Dade County Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board, Pharos Counseling, Glory House of Miami, The Mavuno Project, Barry University School of Social Work The CHANCE Program, the Embrace House, Casa del Senor, and the Iniciativa Hispana are hosting a community food distribution to bring awareness, education, and resources about human trafficking to the Homestead, FL area!

Thank you to all who have partnered with us to make this event possible! We look forward to engaging with our local community this evening! This is the first of many community outreach events that will be coordinated by the South Florida Human Trafficking Task Force. If you are interested in being involved or supporting our future events reach out to us directly!

We speak with Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) Andrew Parker from the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Miami field office who shares with our listeners how DSS investigates human trafficking cases. Listeners are provided with information on what exactly is the U.S. Department of State's Diplomatic Security Service, they will hear about cases investigated by DSS, and how they can work collaboratively with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to combat human trafficking in South Florida and abroad.

New initiative to combat human trafficking announced at Miami International Airport Monday marks National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, and officials from Miami-Dade County, along with federal officials, spoke at Miami International Airport on Monday to announce that the airport will be joining the Blue Lightning Initiative against human trafficking.
