The Auditorium is now undergoing a much-needed expansion and renovation.

For over 40 years, the 962-seat Joseph Caleb Auditorium has been a cornerstone of the Liberty City community, hosting concerts, forums, films, and performances.

Fat Cat Caterpillar thrilled over 500 Miami-Dade County students at the Joseph Caleb Auditorium and Miami-Dade County Public Schools Cultural Passport program at Pinecrest Gardens. This marks Cultural Passport’s first show of the 26/27 school year.

Fat Cat Caterpillar was inspired by creator Ja’Nia Harden’s desire to add to cultural tradition through telling stories that not only added educational value but life lessons like the Anansi Fables and folklore or Fairytales of old.

The students and educator chaperones were highly entertained.

The Joseph Caleb Auditorium mourns the loss R&B singer Freddie Jackson performed at our Auditorium in Miami, Florida in the early 90’s. Our Auditorium sends condolences to Mr. Jackson’s family, friends and many fans🎤🙏🏾💐

The Joseph Caleb Auditorium is ALWAYS happy to be graced with a visit from the one-and-ONLY Mr. Marshall L. Davis, Sr., Theater Director of thee Marshall L. Davis, Sr. African Heritage Cultural Arts Center our sister facility in the Department of Cultural Affairs.

Mr. Davis brought Gainesville, Florida District 1 City Commissioner Desmon Duncan-Walker and her staff to the Joseph Caleb Auditorium for a tour.

Desmon is our sister in the arts and a Carbonell award winner for her incredible performance in Aida at Actors’ Playhouse.
