Congratulations to Meckley Farms of Tyler County on being named the 2026 North Region Conservation Farm of the Year in the Traditional Farm category!

After being selected as the Upper Ohio Conservation District's Conservation Farm of the Year, the Meckley family welcomed judges to their farm last Wednesday for the regional Conservation Farm Tour. Judges saw firsthand the farm's outstanding conservation practices, including rotational grazing, water development, pasture improvements, and nutrient management.

This well-deserved recognition reflects the Meckley family's dedication to conservation, agriculture, and their local community. They will now advance to compete against the South Region Conservation Farm of the Year later this month for the statewide Traditional Farm Conservation Farm of the Year title.

Please join us in congratulating the Meckley family and wishing them the best of luck in the state competition!
