Middleburg Police Department Mission Statement:
Quality of life for those who live, visit and work in Middleburg. So please stop in because there is something for everyone in Middleburg.

Visitors and residents can take their time to enjoy the historic buildings, quaint shops, bed & breakfasts, inns, and experience dining at one of our many fine restaurants in the friendly atmosphere that makes Middleburg unique. We are a pet loving town and many of the shops have water bowls placed at their front doors for our four legged friends. The town has served as a host to travelers for more than 250 years and as they say… "practice makes perfect."

ROAD WORK NOTICE – MILLING & PAVING

VDOT will be conducting overnight milling and paving operations on Washington Street (US50) through the Town of Middleburg.. Residents and visitors should plan ahead for temporary traffic disruptions and nightly parking restrictions.

Milling Operations
Tuesday, October 20 – Thursday, October 22
9:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Milling is expected to be completed by Friday morning, October 23, no later than 5:00 AM.

Paving Operations
Sunday, October 25 – Tuesday, October 27
9:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Paving is expected to be completed by Wednesday morning, October 28, no later than 5:00 AM.

IMPORTANT PARKING NOTICE
Nightly parking restrictions will be in effect in affected areas during these operations. No Parking signs will be posted, and vehicles parked in restricted areas will be towed. Please make arrangements to move your vehicles before work begins to avoid towing.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as VDOT completes these roadway improvements throughout Middleburg.

🎃👻 Today, Chief Jones and Officer McCord had the pleasure of judging the Spooky Door Contest at Levis Hill House!

From spooky scenes to festive fall decorations, the creativity and effort that went into each door made the contest so much fun. We loved seeing everyone get into the Halloween spirit and bring a little extra fun to the season!

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this a fun community activity. We always enjoy opportunities to connect with our community and be part of the activities that bring people together!

Today, we honor and recognize the history, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous peoples.

Please note that the Middleburg Police Department Administrative Office will be closed Monday, October 12.

Please join us in welcoming our newest officer, Nataly Amaya, to the Middleburg Police Department!

Yesterday, Officer Nataly Amaya was officially sworn in by Circuit Court Clerk Gary Clemens, marking the beginning of her new journey with our department.

Chief Jones and the entire Middleburg Police Department are excited to have Officer Amaya join our team. Nataly previously served as a sworn police officer in Maryland and brings valuable law enforcement experience with her as she begins this next chapter in Virginia.

Starting Monday, Officer Amaya will attend an abbreviated police academy to complete the requirements necessary for certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia. While we know she will do great things at the academy, we already look forward to welcoming her back home to Middleburg.

Please join us in wishing Officer Amaya the very best as she begins her training. We cannot wait for her to return and start meeting and serving the wonderful residents, businesses, and visitors that make our town such a special place.

Congratulations, Officer Amaya, and welcome to the Middleburg family! 👮‍♀️🎉

Meet Nessie, a spunky 1-year-old black-and-white mixed breed who is ready to fill your life with adventure, laughter, and love! 🐶 She’s already spayed, gets along great with kids and other dogs, and is smart, affectionate, and always ready for fun. Middleburg Police Department is teaming up with Clothing Closet for a Winter Coat Drive to help local families get ready for the colder months.

We’re collecting new or gently used coats and winter gear through November 7.

A big thank you to everyone who came out for National Coffee with a Cop Day! We loved seeing so many familiar faces, meeting new ones, and spending the morning chatting over a cup of coffee.

A special thank you to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and Bob Mosier for joining us and helping make the morning a great one!
