The Jewett Center for Community Partnerships (JCCP), in collaboration with the State Education Resource Center (SERC), invites you to join us for an engaging and interactive Lunch & Learn: Youth Voice, Agency & Shared Power, part of our Education Workshop Series at Wesleyan
Thursday, October 22, 2026
12:00–1:00 PM
Allbritton Center, Room 311
Lunch will be provided!
We often talk about the importance of giving young people a seat at the table, but what does it really look like when we invite them to help shape the decisions that impact their lives and learning experiences?
Together with facilitators from SERC, we’ll explore how youth voice, agency, and shared power can strengthen belonging, inclusion, and equity in educational spaces. We’ll also learn about the Special Education Youth Advisory Council and discuss practical ways educators, students, and community partners can move beyond simply listening to young people and begin sharing power with them.
Whether you’re a student, educator, staff member, or community partner, we hope you’ll join us for an opportunity to connect, reflect, and consider how we can create more meaningful opportunities for young people to lead.
Registration is encouraged! Please use the link below to reserve your spot and help us plan for lunch.

We look forward to learning and sharing space with you!
