Station 11 - Middletown Township Fire Department - Monmouth County Station 71-2 The Old Village Fire Company is an all volunteer organization.

Old Village is one of eleven company's that makes up the Middletown Township Fire Department. Our Company consistently responds to over four hundred calls for service every year. The members that make up the Old Village Fire Company volunteer their time to respond to calls, train, raise funds and maintain the apparatus and firehouse. Our members are your friends and neighbors. We are computer technicians and mechanics. We are engineers and construction laborers. We are police officers and stock brokers. We are Volunteer Firefighters. Our members give countless hours and make many personal sacrifices to ensure the Township is protected. Our members remain on the cutting edge of technology and skill to provide the services the community demands.

50 years of volunteer service. That is what Dennis Smith has accomplished. Last night, Mayor Perry and Chief of the Department Kelly, had the honor of recognizing our brother Dennis for his selfless commitment to the residents of Middletown and the Middletown Township Fire Department. Dennis joined the Old Village Fire Company in July of 1976 and has served in almost every role one can fill from Firefighter to Captain and Member to President. He is a life member of Old Village and Community Fire Companies and the Department. Please help us congratulate Dennis for the time he has already given and the time he continues to give. Congratulations brother.

Today the members of the Old Village Fire Company participated in the annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at LifeTime.Life in Lincroft. This amazing event is just a small way to remember the sacrifice of our brother and sister firefighters, police officers, and emergency medical personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11. Thanks to the P.O. Ken Tietjen Memorial Foundation - Home of Mini Horse Heroes for their tremendous support of our first responder community and thank you to the amazing teams at Middletown NJ Town Hall and The Answered Call for all their work in helping to organize this. Never Forget.

We remember. The members of the Old Village Fire Company remember the attacks on our nation and the lives lost on that fateful day 25 years ago. We remember the brave souls of the FDNY, NYPD, and PAPD who selflessly gave their lives while trying to rescue so many others. We remember those who survived and pray for their healing. We remember those who worked at Ground Zero and succumbed to the illnesses they contracted. Never Forget.
