Ramapo Catskill Library System Discover 46 RCLS member libraries to learn, connect & thrive.

The Ramapo Catskill Library System (RCLS) is a non-profit, cooperative public library system chartered in 1959 by the New York State Board of Regents. RCLS working cooperatively with its 47 member libraries, provides coordinated services, guidance, training, support, and leadership to member library trustees and staff to sustain their effort to be responsive, proactive, vital community institutions that meet the changing needs of their users in Orange, Rockland, Sullivan and southern Ulster counties. Working in cooperation with member libraries, RCLS helps to raise awareness about library services and works to eliminate barriers to library access and use.

Today, the Sullivan Public Library Alliance (SUPLA) hosted its Legislative Brunch, bringing together library leaders, library champions, and elected officials to recognize the importance of public libraries and the communities they serve.

Thank you to Assemblymember Paula Elaine Kay; RCLS Executive Director Grace Riario; Jackie Broder, Library Champion from Mamakating Library; Laura Klein, Library Champion from Livingston Manor-Roscoe Library; Mary Paige Lang-Clouse, Director of the E.B. Crawford Library; and Marj Linko, Director of Liberty Public Library, for being part of this important gathering.

Public libraries are more than places to borrow books. They are vital community hubs that connect people to information, technology, educational opportunities, and resources for lifelong learning.

Bringing library advocates, leaders, and elected officials together helps highlight the value of our libraries and the essential role they play in strengthening communities. šŸ’š

Way to go, Livingston Manor-Roscoe Library staff and patrons! šŸ’™šŸ‘ The diaper drive is still underway, so let’s keep those donations coming! There’s still time to get involved and help our tiniest community members get the supplies they need. Every pack makes a difference! šŸ¼šŸ’™

Thank you from the Livingston Manor-Roscoe Library staff for our generous donation of diapers for our diaper drive. Our patrons really are the best at helping us ensure all our tiny readers get the supplies and support they need.

RCLS member libraries are making a difference! Here’s what Cornwall Public Library has been up to!

As part of this year’s Great Give Back, Cornwall Public Library collected food donations in support of the Regional Food Bank’s Hunger Action Month. šŸ„«ā¤ļø

Cornwall Public Library Director Laura Wolven proudly showcases the donations before pickup and delivery by the Regional Food Bank team to help neighbors in need.

We’re proud to see our member libraries bringing communities together to make a difference. Because giving feels good!

Limiting stories and ideas doesn’t protect communities—it prevents readers from discovering new perspectives and understanding one another. Libraries will continue standing up for curiosity, inclusion, and the freedom to read.
