Mark List, Lee Township Trustee Mark List is a trustee on the board for Lee Township. On May 3rd, 2022 VOTE FOR MARK LIST FOR TRUSTEE. But first, here's a bit about me.

He is a fresh conservative leader with a heart for the community who will work to move the township forward with integrity. I'm respectfully asking for your vote in the upcoming Lee Township scheduled election. I grew up in Beaverton and graduated high school in 1988. I went to Northwood Institute/University where I graduated with honors in 1992 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. I moved to Midland shortly after graduation and have lived in Midland ever since. Upon graduation, I was a part of the original crew of Midland Cinemas. I worked my way up to Manager and remained as a Manager for over 5 years. After leaving the Cinemas I became the Controller of Wheeler Plastics in Wheeler, MI. Unfortunately, after a couple of years, the owner passed away. I stayed on for another year before leaving to pursue other opportunities. I worked at a number of locations as Controller until I landed a job in the Insurance industry. I still maintain my Insurance licenses. I left this career when my wife had significant health issues and I needed to take care of her. Currently I'm employed by Freudenberg Battery Power Systems in the Finance Department with a focus on Accounts Receivable and Account Reconciliations. In 2001 my father bought the Gem Theater in Beaverton. For almost 15 years, until my father’s death, I managed the theater and did all of the financial reporting. (P&L, Payables, Payroll, Payroll taxes, etc.) My wife and I have been happily married since 1999. We moved to Lee Township in 2000 when we built the house that we still live in. I am experienced in financial and accounting practices and I understand the underlying principles. This provides value in my performing the Trustee’s Statutory Duties and Fiduciary Oversight of the Township records and process and procedures, checks and balances. I look forward to engaging with and meeting more Lee Township residents. My priority is to ensure I have their best interest in mind when they entrust me into the Board of Lee Township as the new Trustee.

Have you heard about the Copperton Project? This is a new high-voltage transmission line project that could impact property owners in Lee Township and affect the community.

There will be a meeting at the Lee Township Hall on Monday, October 26 at 6:30pm for an "open house" discussion. Please come with questions!

** This project is NOT affiliated with Lee Township, and your board has no control over its effects to the township. This is a state-mandated project operated by ITC to improve state-wide infrastructure. The meeting is to answer your questions to the best of our ability and provide information.

Last week, the Lee Township Fire Department was awarded a Hometown Hero Award by Modern Woodmen of America Fraternal Financial Company. This prestigious award was given to the Fire Department for their courageous and selfless actions keeping the residents of this township safe and secure. As your Township Trustee, and representative for MWA, I was honored to present this award. Robin Brief accepted the award on behalf of the entire Department. Part of the award is a $100 donation to the charity of their choice. The American Cancer Society Relay for Life was the charity chosen. In addition to the entire Fire Department and myself, those in attendance were Supervisor Doug Kruger, Clerk Laura Dawson, Chief Coughlin's wife, Pamela, and other members of the community. Many thanks to those that attended!

There have been no changes made to the agenda templates as suggested by the recall team (screen shot below). At the time the agenda is drafted, the totals are not yet known and may change based on the Clerk’s additions that are presented at the time of the Board meeting. Totals for bills have NEVER been included on an agenda as is being suggested (for those of you who attend such meetings, you are aware of this). This is yet another inaccurate personal attack from the recall team in an attempt to denigrate the current Board and mislead the public. The board is operating within Michigan Township Association guidelines.

The map below features the resident calls for high mosquito numbers taken this week. the calls are clustering in Ingersoll, Midland Township and Mt. Haley. Each time a resident calls to report high numbers of mosquitoes, a point is placed on the County map. This is an important data source for operational planning. These townships have been the focus this week for adult mosquito fogging. And nighttime fogging continues through the remaining townships as well. Call 989-832-8677 to report mosquito issues.
