πŸš’ The Greenwood VFD Is Proud of Assistant Chief Robert Wallace! πŸš’

About an hour and a half ago, Greenwood VFD received a call for a structure fire caused by a stove.

Assistant Chief Robert Wallace happened to be nearby in his personal vehicle and quickly responded to the scene. Through quick thinking and decisive action, along with the help of an off-duty police officer, they were able to enter the home, unplug the oven, and remove it from the house before the situation could escalate.

Thanks to their fast response, training, and teamwork, a potentially serious situation was stopped before it could cause significant fire or water damage. The home sustained smoke damage, but thankfully, the house was saved from further damage.

This is what training, dedication, and quick thinking are all about! We are incredibly proud of Assistant Chief Robert Wallace and grateful to the off-duty officer who stepped in to help.

Great job to both of you for your quick actions and for helping protect someone’s home! πŸ‘πŸ”₯
