A change worth knowing about before you see it: our ambulance garage is being demolished for the new Emergency Department. Starting October 19, ambulances will unload at the front of the building, right near the main entrance.

Two things this means for you:

One: if you are dropping someone off at Door A, use the space directly in front of the door and keep the marked ambulance area clear. Not because of a rule but because somebody’s worst day is going to be arriving there, and thirty seconds matters.

Two: patients arriving by ambulance will come in through the ER waiting area. If you are sitting in that waiting room and a crew comes through, that is normal now. Our staff will be moving quickly. They are not ignoring you.

It is temporary. When the new Emergency Department opens in late 2028, ambulances will pull into a bay built for them. Until then, thank you for leaving that space open.
