🌧️ Nor’easter expected today through Sunday

The National Weather Service is forecasting strong winds, prolonged rain, and coastal flooding, with the greatest impacts expected along the shoreline. Wind gusts could reach 40–55 mph, and power outages are possible.

Milford residents: secure loose outdoor items, avoid flooded roads and shore areas, and stay clear of downed trees and wires. Please give Public Works crews room to work if they are responding in your neighborhood.

Follow the National Weather Service and City of Milford channels for updates throughout the weekend. Stay safe, Milford.

The Early Warning Sirens will be activated to alert residents of the potential for significant coastal flooding in the shoreline areas. Astronomical high tides combined with rain and strong winds pose the threat for above average flooding in the area. If your area is prone to tidal flooding, consider moving vehicles to higher ground and evacuate to a safe area prior to flooding. Water on flooded roads may take several hours to recede until tides shift. The Early Warning Sirens will be activated several times throughout the duration of the storm.

The Sirens will be sounded approximately 3 hours prior to each high tide. An Everbridge message will be sent out approximately 30 minutes prior to each Siren activation.

911 — DINO IS NOT SAFE!🚨

Dino’s owner is currently homeless. Dino is living in a car. They are in an incredibly difficult situation, and Dino desperately needs a safe place to go. He cannot continue living this way.

Dino is around 5 years old and neutered. He has lived with a female dog previously, but he requires very slow, proper introductions. He cannot live with small dogs or cats.

Dino may take a little time to warm up, but once he trusts you, he becomes your Velcro dog. He bonds deeply with his person and wants nothing more than to be by your side. His owner describes him as a total sweetheart — loyal, affectionate, loving, and the kind of dog who will happily be your built-in bodyguard. ❤️

He has been bounced around far too much these past few weeks. What Dino needs now is stability. He needs a soft landing, a quiet place to decompress, and someone willing to give him the time and patience to show them who he really is.

Dino is well trained and has excellent recall. He enjoys training and would thrive with someone who will work with him. Experience with pitties or other strong breeds would be ideal.

🙏 Please, someone step up for Dino. He doesn’t need another temporary stop. He needs a person who will give him a chance to finally exhale and feel safe.
