Twenty-five years later, we remember September 11, 2001, and the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day. We remember the families who lost loved ones, the first responders and ordinary citizens who showed extraordinary courage, and the communities forever changed by the events of that day.
As a library, we believe in the importance of remembering, learning, and preserving the stories that shape our shared history. May we continue to honor those we lost by choosing compassion over division, kindness over fear, and community over isolation.
Today we pause to remember. We will never forget.
