As leaves fall and rainstorms keep coming, we need your help keeping our storm drains clear of debris so they can flow properly into our waterways! Join Mayor Cheri Jackson for a hands-on storm drain maintenance lesson!

🍂 Bring helpful cleaning tools, like a rake & bucket!
🍂 Always remember safety first: wear gloves and reflective clothing.
🍂 Never remove the grate; clean only the storm drain surface and the surrounding area.
🍂 Don't just clean the storm drain; clear debris from the street and sidewalk to prevent buildup before the next storm.

Adopt a storm drain today and receive a limited-edition sticker to show off your efforts to keep our waterways clean! Let's make a difference together!

Prescribed Burns will be taking place over the next few days in a few areas

These areas are:
- Parleys Summit
- Lambs Canyon
- Millcreek Canyon

You may see some smoke and/or flames in these areas. These fires are under control and will be watched heavily by Federal Foresters

The Salt Lake Ranger District is taking advantage of the favorable weather over the next few days that provide the necessary conditions to use prescribed fire to burn hand-built slash piles in areas of the National Forest. Prescribed fires are being used in Parleys and Lambs Canyons today. Smoke may be visible along the I-80 area near Parleys Summit and in Lambs Canyon.

Prescribed fires in additional areas, including Mill Creek Canyon, may take place over the next few days, weather permitting.

The Ranger District works closely with local emergencvy services and dispath during these operations.
