What do you see when you look inside The Harrold Building?

Could it become one restaurant or two? A place for live music and entertainment? An event space that brings people together? Or could it become something completely different?

That is exactly what we want to find out.

The City of Millington is seeking creative ideas and potential partners to help shape the future of The Harrold Building in the heart of Oldtown (links in comments). With approximately 10,000 square feet of space and the flexibility for future partners to create an interior that fits their vision, the possibilities are wide open.

It’s kinda chic to Save the Harrold.

The future of the historic Harrold Building is taking shape, and the City of Millington is looking for ideas and partners to help bring it to life.

The City has officially issued a Request for Interest (RFI) for the Harrold Building Activation & Operations, inviting businesses, operators, organizations, and creative teams to submit concepts for the future use of this historic Oldtown landmark.

What could the Harrold Building become? A restaurant? Event venue? Live entertainment space? A destination for families? A combination of food, entertainment, events, and community programming? We want to hear the possibilities.

As construction continues to preserve and stabilize the historic building, the City is looking ahead to its next chapter. Our goal is to create an active, community-centered destination that brings people to Oldtown, supports economic activity and contributes to the continued revitalization of the area.

The RFI is intentionally flexible, and respondents may propose concepts for the entire building, individual spaces, programming opportunities, or partnership models.

Responses are due Sept. 29, 2026.
