Happy Halloween from station 49

Sean Collier's Sacrifice: The push for the holiday was inspired by the memory of Sean Collier, a 26-year-old Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) campus police officer who was shot and killed by the perpetrators of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. His brother pushed for the day a bipartisan coalition successfully passed the resolution in 2019 to officially mark October 28 as National First Responders Day. This will be the first time Pennsylvania Emergency Dispatchers will be included.

❤️🩸 65 units collected today in honor of Lincoln! 🩸❤️

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Memorial Blood Drive for Lincoln. Your generosity helped us reach our goal of 65 units, honoring Lincoln’s memory while giving hope to patients and families in need.

A special thank-you to the Milmont Fire Company members who helped organize, set up, and assist throughout the event and to those who rolled up their sleeves to donate.

Your time, teamwork, and kindness made this day possible.

🎃 We also want to give a special thank you to everyone who brought in Halloween costumes to donate to Children’s Hospital. Your kindness will help bring smiles and a little Halloween magic to children and their families.

Whether you donated blood, brought a costume, volunteered, or shared our posts, thank you for helping us honor Lincoln in such a meaningful way. ❤️
