🇵🇭✨ Celebrating Filipino American History Month & Larry Itliong Day! ✨🇵🇭

October is a time to honor, uplift, and celebrate the rich history, culture, and enduring contributions of Filipino Americans across our nation—from the arrival of the first Luzones Indios in Morro Bay back in 1587 to the vibrant leaders and students shaping our community today.

We are also proud to highlight October 25th as Larry Itliong Day, honoring the courage and leadership of labor organizer Larry Itliong, who helped spearhead the historic 1965 Delano Grape Strike and co-founded the United Farm Workers (UFW).

🎥 Special Highlight:
At the October 27th Board of Education meeting, Resolution 2027.15 was unanimously adopted by the Board of Education to officially recognize and Larry Itliong Day! A huge shoutout to the student leaders from the PUSO Club at for their video reading of this resolution: https://youtu.be/-78HG_--FTg
