Earlier this year, the held a "School Safety Night" On top of their goal to raise awareness about school safety initiatives in our county, they also had a very ambitious goal to raise the funds to purchase critical care/first aid kits for every classroom in every school in our county. Critical care kits house emergency supplies for severe or traumatic injuries to help stabilize a patient before emergency responders arrive. Through their efforts, -every school-, public and private, received critical care kits for their classrooms this school year!

Yesterday, our friends at the Janesville Police Department delivered a portion of those kits to Milton High School to be placed in any of our classroom spaces or offices in need of additional care kits. Joined by our friends at Milton Police Department-Wisconsin, Principal Nerby accepted this gift with gratitude on behalf of our District.

We are fortunate to have community partners in school safety especially neighboring districts and law enforcement agencies who collaborate and work with use on the daily toward safer schools in our community.

But especially, we want to thank the Janesville Jets for helping make this possible for -all- classrooms in our county!

Thank you to Wes and Janet Sisson, representing the VFW Auxiliary Post 10904 out of Tennessee, for their gift to officers on behalf of Operation Gratitude https://operationgratitude.com/ . Included were 'Thank You' cards and paracord lanyards.

You're probably thinking an 8 hour trip from Tennessee is an impressive road trip for this donation, and it sure is, but they are also Milton residents. Thank you Wes and Janet!
