Have you thought about joining your local fire department but have been nervous to make the first step? We understand it can be intimidating at times to walk into a firehouse and ask a bunch of strangers for an application. Milton VFD now has an online application for those who need help with that first step! We encourage folks to stop in and take a look around and talk to the firemen about the things Milton VFD are doing. We enjoy it when the public comes in to visit!

If you’re interested in applying, you can follow the link below or scan the QR code to get started. Your information is secure and you will receive a follow up in a day or two after applying.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!! We have a fire 1 class starting later this month, so now is the time to get in and get going immediately!

THANK YOU to Hank Rider and the rest of the team at Lowe’s of Barboursville for donating a new toolbox to our department! Our tool storage area has needed some work for a while and they stepped up to help us out like pros! Hank, the rest of the associates, and the management team are absolutely incredible supporters of our department and we couldn’t be more thankful!

MVFD would like to extend our appreciation to The Pilot Club of Huntington for their generous donation to our rescue diver program! Their foundation sponsored two full face masks that will help keep our divers protected during under water recoveries! THANK YOU so much for your continued support!

We cannot thank Huntington Drum Company enough for their support of our department and community! Thanks Jacob for taking care of us!

We are always ready and willing to help our first responders!

When Milton Fire Chief Everett Chapman inquired about needing IBC totes for their
Brush Fire Truck System, we were happy to help!

We also informed Chief Chapman that Milton Fire was a recipient of an EFIREX/Huntington Drum/Permco Community Grant to receive the first of its kind Lithium Battery Fire Extinguisher kit.
Keeping our fire fighters safe from the most dangerous lithium battery fires is one of our missions !!

FREE event for our community on October 28th at the firehouse! Bring the family around for trunk or treat with first responders, games, free refreshments, and more!

Trunk or treat will be 6p-7:30p with a costume contest, monster calling contest, and more!

FREE FREE FREE!

The first 75 trunk or treaters will receive a free goody bag!

Only a couple of more days to enter! $5 each for a ticket to win the entire Yeti package! You can enter via Venmo or stop by the station to get your tickets! We will be here all day for a chance to stop by!

The winner will be drawn on October 10th, ticket sales will end on October 9th!

Fall is starting out busy around the town of Milton! We hope every one has an enjoyable time at the WV Pumpkin Festival, and hangs around long enough to enjoy the other things our little town has to offer!

We have several things happening around the fire department this fall season and we have posted the flyers below!

Yeti package raffle- we will sell tickets until October 9th and the drawing will be on the 10th! Tickets are $5 each cash or Venmo!

Community Safe Trunk or Treat- October 28th starting at 6pm! Multiple agencies will be on site handing out candy for the kids! We will have more info regarding this event next week so stay tuned!

October is Fire Prevention month! Milton Fire will be hosting activities with the elementary school and some other small agencies to celebrate! As always, if the bay doors are open, feel free to stop by for a station tour!
