👟Last night, 8th grade scholars and families from across Milwaukee took the NEXT STEP by attending our High School Open House to get a look at what it means to become an MAS High School Nova⭐️

Families connected with High School teachers and leadership, explored our Academics, Student Life, Athletics and College & Career Readiness resources, toured classrooms and learning spaces, and learned more about the classes, opportunities, and experiences waiting for them next year.

We loved meeting so many members of the Class of 2031, and helping their families move towards high school with confidence. 💙

📣Applications are now OPEN! Visit the Enrollment page on our website to learn more and apply ➡️ https://www.milwaukeeacademyofscience.org/enrollment/process-application/

Current MAS 8th grade families, remember: your seat at MAS High School is already waiting for you!

Questions about the MAS High School experience? Reach out to our Enrollment Manager, Hannah Evancy, at [email protected].

Just another day in HS Physics 🏎️⚡️

In Mr. Mohammad’s class, scholars recently put engineering, problem-solving and a little friendly competition to the test by designing and racing their own chariots!

Built from popsicle sticks, cardboard, tape, glue and old CDs for wheels, each chariot had to be designed to stay balanced, hold together and, most importantly, MOVE. Scholars tested different designs, made adjustments, and then learned how to program a Sphero, an app-enabled robotic ball used to bring coding and STEM concepts to life.

Then they raced. 👀🏆

And that’s one of our favorite things about learning at MAS. This wasn’t a special event or a one-time opportunity. This was simply another day in class, where scholars get to build, test, problem-solve, compete, laugh and learn by doing.

Thanks for letting us take a peek at your day, scholars & staff💙

🥾MAS Class of 2027 spent time at Camp Manito-Wish this week taking on team challenges, hiking, rock climbing, tackling ropes courses, gathering around the campfire, playing kickball, testing their courage on the giant tree swing, and of course, making memories 🥹

For more than six years, Camp Manito-wish YMCA has helped make this special tradition possible, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the experiences and adventures they help create. 💫

We hope you had a blast, Seniors💙
Until next year, Camp🫡

🚀Our 5th grade scholars were cleared for lift-off this week!

Scholars from both Main and 24th Street Campus took part in The Hovercraft Project, an immersive STEM experience where students work together to design, build, test, and even RIDE their own hovercrafts!

Along the way, scholars put science, math, engineering, communication and problem-solving into action, learning firsthand what can happen when curiosity, perseverance and teamwork come together💪🏿

A HUGE thank you to Briggs & Stratton for sponsoring this incredible hands-on learning opportunity for our scholars. We’re grateful for partners who help make learning come alive beyond the classroom! 💙
