While we're bittersweet about the Annie run coming to an end, we are only overjoyed to announce that FORTE AUDIENCES ARE THE BEST! Thanks to your generosity, we will be sending a check for $2,845.50 Kids Matter Inc.

Here's the message that our cast shared after bows:

During our performances of Annie, we are honored to support Kids Matter, Inc. of Milwaukee—an organization that helps children impacted by abuse and neglect by providing them with caring advocates, resources, and support when they need it most.

Just as Annie reminds us of the difference a safe, loving home and caring adults can make in a child’s life, we invite you to join us in helping ensure that every child has someone in their corner. Thank you for your generosity and for helping us make a difference for Milwaukee’s children.

Something beautiful just arrived at Kids Matter. 🧵 Handmade treasures from Beyond the Binding Quilts made just for our kids! Each quilt is stitched with care to wrap Milwaukee kinship and foster children in comfort. Thank you. ❤️More pictures to follow, these quilts are just too amazing!

As the temperatures dip in the coming weeks, how wonderful to have so many friends like the Beyond the Binding Quilters having shared so much warmth with our kids. Turning scraps into beautiful, functional pieces that... just like our kids... are each unique and special. We could not be more grateful.

What a great season to celebrate! Milwaukee Brewers First Baseman Andrew Vaughn leads the team in hits and leads in giving back to the community. Andrew and Lexi Vaughn made so many special moments with our kids including batting and throwing tips. Thank you, Andrew and Lexi! ⚾ ❤️

❤️Kinship families are strong—but the systems meant to support families weren’t built with them in mind. Too often, caregivers face barriers enrolling kids in school, accessing healthcare, or securing stable housing.

That’s not just inconvenient—it’s unjust. It’s time to connect systems to recognize, respect, and support grandfamilies.

Kin caregivers save taxpayers $10.5B/yr by keeping kids with family. Without them, foster care would be overwhelmed.

Kin caregivers already do so much. Children should not have to enter foster care just to access basic services.

It’s time we show up for the caregivers who show up for our kids.

Did you know? For every child raised by kin in foster care, 19 more are raised by relatives outside the system.

Why does this matter? Because most kinship families are navigating caregiving without access to foster care or community supports. When families lack support, they can feel isolated and unseen — even when they only need help with simple things like enrolling a child in school. Kids Matter provides support to thousands of families -- but our resources cannot stretch far enough to support the additional thousands who need help. Kinship families deserve support without being forced into foster care to receive it.
