Looking for child care where your whole family feels at home? đź’ś

St. Francis Children’s Center is now enrolling kids from 6 weeks through kindergarten! Our classrooms are inclusive, so children with and without special needs learn and play together every day. Families tell us that’s one of the things they love most about SFCC.

We’re nationally accredited and rated 5 stars by YoungStar. Care is full-day and year-round, and it includes breakfast, hot lunch, and an afternoon snack. Since our therapy and early intervention teams are in the same building, it’s easy for kids to get extra support when they need it. Wisconsin Shares is accepted, and qualifying families can access Early Head Start.

We're so excited to share that we've partnered with Harmonic Harvest's Reading for Our Lives Campaign. Thanks to a Homegrown Grant from Herb Kohl Philanthropies & Herb Kohl Educational Foundation and private donations, 1,000 copies of Maya Payne Smart's Reading for Our Lives are coming to SFCC families and staff, along with in-person and virtual workshops.

We'll share the books through programs families already attend, with help from the home visitors, early intervention specialists, and teachers they see every week. We believe that when parents and staff read from the same page, kids win.

Thank you, Maya, Harmonic Harvest, and Herb Kohl Philanthropies, for investing in Milwaukee's youngest readers! 🧡

It’s hard to believe, but our November Family Activity Center programming kicks off next week! 🍂

On Tuesday, November 3, at 5:00 PM, The Parenting Network will host a Parent Café for parents of children with special or support needs. Join us for an evening of meaningful conversation where you can meet other parents face-to-face and walk away with tips, tools, and new ideas to make parenting a little less stressful. Dinner and child care will be provided free of charge.

Earlier this month, our community came together for Leading Lights 2026 and raised more than $165,000 for children of all abilities and their families. đź’›

We celebrated our honorees, the Stritch Family Literacy Center at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, Gil Peri of Children's Wisconsin, and our own Dr. Richard Clark, and met Wesley Roney and his family, whose journey with us began in Birth to 3.

Thank you to our co-chairs, sponsors, and everyone who raised a paddle or placed a bid.

October is Physical Therapy Month, and at St. Francis Children’s Center, it’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate the important role physical therapy plays in helping children grow, develop, and discover what they can do!

Check out our blog, where we share what pediatric PT looks like and why the small stuff matters. We are grateful for our SFCC physical therapists: Bekki Misanin, Lisa Davis, and Karen Gottschalk. đź’ś
