We are one week out from Evolving Canvas II.

Today, we are going to start recognizing our sponsors. Our first sponsor is Deaf.Apparel. They are one of our Bronze level sponsors. Pictured here are some items they donated for our silent auction which will be taking place at the event.

Not only are they a sponsor, we are working on an affiliation with them to sell CDBP merchandise. Stay tuned for more information on that in that coming months! Once that is set up, the Center will get a portion of sales.

We only have 9 tickets left! If you would like to be able to bid on this great merch from Deaf Apparel, you have to be at Evolving Canvas!

Thank you to Deaf Apparel and keep coming back to learn more about our other great sponsors over the next week!

We are 8 days out from Evolving Canvas II. We only have 12 tickets remaining. You have a few days left to buy tickets. If you would like a ticket, it is $60. That comes with all your painting supplies, two drinks, and we will have food. A table of 6 is $300. You can contact Adrian at [email protected] for more information.

We are also still accepting sponsors for the event. Reach out if you would like to learn more.

Tomorrow, we will start showcasing our sponsors and community partners. We are so thankful for the support we have received for year 2 of our fundraising event.

We are very excited for Lejla and Deanne to present at the upcoming WisRID conference in November. WisRID was kind enough to spotlight Lejla and Deanne. We are eager to help educate interpreters about working with DeafBlind people here in Wisconsin. The Center is also proud to be a continued sponsor for the WisRID event.

Our executive director Adrian does not drive due to a visual impairment. That is one reason he has been involved with various transit advocacy committees over the last few years. Many people don't stop to think about challenges related to transportation for those who can't drive due to disability. In America, we love our cars. Due to Adrian's disability, he relies on mass transit and ride share to get around. The other day, Adrian was headed to the Accessibility Summit and used Lyft to get there. Adrian was so impressed to see Lyft embracing inclusion and also educating riders on basic ASL phrases. Well done Lyft!

Evolving Canvas II is only 17 days away! Pictured here is Carissa our board president and Jan, our office manager/billing specialist discussing plans for our silent auction. Jan and the staff have been working hard getting items donated for the silent auction. Also pictured is a sneak peak of the space we will be using on November 6th. Thank you to one of our sponsors Beyond Vision for hosting us. Their space will be wonderful! Plenty of room!

Remember, we have only 13 tickets left. We are also still looking for sponsors and silent auction donations. For more information, reach out to Adrian at [email protected]. Thank you to the staff and board members for their help as we pull everything together for year 2 of Evolving Canvas.

Next week, we will start recognizing sponsors here on our social media page. We will also post some teasers about a few of the cool silent auction items. We hope you will join us!!

Here is an assortment of photos from the October W.I.S.H. event which was held at the Center on October 9th, 2026. The theme was "Fall Campfire Potluck." W.I.S.H. members and staff brought all kinds of goodies! Lejla set up a spooky haunted forest. Lisa had a fun fall themed arts and crafts activity. Felicia was the big winner for our 50/50 raffle. She won $41. Thanks to everyone who brought food for the pot luck! Descriptions under each photo.
