Did you know that the storm drains on your street often lead directly to our local waterways? When litter and leaves wash into those drains, they can pollute our water and contribute to street flooding during heavy 🌧️ rain.

You can help care for your local storm drain by joining the Adopt Your Drain program and adopting a storm drain near you! Learn more and get started: ➡️ https://www.swwtwater.org/adopt-your-drain

By adopting your local storm drain, you’re taking a step to protect our watersheds and keep our community clean.

🚽🚨 Don't let your pipes (or the sewers) suffer! Wipes, tissues, and paper towels don’t break down like toilet paper—they clog things up! 😱 Stick to the 3 P’s: P*e, Poo, (toilet) Paper. That’s it!

Fall is the time to plant trees.🌳The soil is warm, and the air is cool, making it easier for trees to adapt to their new location

Trees help soak rainwater into the ground and hold it on their leaves and branches until it evaporates. Adding a tree to your property can help manage where it falls and improve the environment. To learn more ➡️https://www.mmsd.com/what-we-do/green-infrastructure/stormwater-trees
