Public Notice- Section 8 Housing
In accordance with federal regulations, the Webster Parish Office of Community Services Section 8 Housing for Webster Parish will begin accepting pre-applications for rental assisted housing and/or placement on the waiting list for such housing.
Pre-applications packets can be picked up beginning Monday, October 19, 2026

WE WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTING THE FIRST 75 APPLICATIONS

Completed applications will be accepted on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 beginning at 9.00 a.m to 12:00 noon, or when 75 are received, whichever comes first.
NO pre-applications will be accepted other than the times and date listed above. Application packets can be picked up up beginning October 19, 2026 at 208 Gleason Street, Minden la 71055.

Attention Northern part of the parish, our LIHEAP, energy program will be holding a morning event at our Jack & Jill Head Start Center address is 105 Murria Street in Cullen, beginning at 8:30 am on Tuesday September 29, 2026. We will be taking applications to help assist you with your light bill. Please pay close attention to the information that you will have to bring with you. If you do not have everything you will be turned away. 1. Current proof of income for entire household.
2. Social Security Cards for entire household.
3. Applicants picture I.D. with date of birth.
4. Birthdays for entire household. Birth certificate and social security cards for children 5 and younger.
5. Two pieces of mail, dated within the last 30 days, proving that you live at the address on the bill.6. Current utility bill/ history.
