We all know how much of a difference a good friend can make, especially growing up.

Whether it's checking in on someone, including someone who feels left out, or encouraging a friend to make a healthy choice, those little things really do matter.

You don't need a cape to make a difference!

We're recognizing Red Ribbon Week a little early this year so we can reach our local students before their school break.

This year's theme is all about being a hero, and sometimes that just means making a good choice, standing up for a friend, or doing what's right even when it's hard.

We're looking forward to sharing a few reminders throughout the week about the little things we can all do to make our community a healthier place.

We have an immediate opening for a part-time Bilingual Prevention Coordinator, as well as an upcoming opening for a Coalition Manager.

A big thank you to the American Century Championship for their generous support of Partnership Douglas County!

PDC was recently presented with a check to help expand our prevention programs throughout Lake Tahoe and Douglas County. This funding will allow us to offer more free activities that bring families together, encourage healthy connections, and support our ongoing substance use prevention efforts.

We’re so grateful for this partnership and the opportunity to continue creating positive experiences for families in our community!

Stop by on October 24 from 9 AM–1 PM to safely dispose of unused or expired medications. We’ll have four locations around Carson City to make dropping them off easy!
