Yesterday, we recognized National Women in Law Enforcement Day, a day dedicated to honoring the women who serve their communities with courage, dedication, and compassion.
The Miner Police Department is proud to recognize Officer Kayla Hodges, our department’s only female officer. Officer Hodges exemplifies the courage and commitment it takes to serve and protect, and we are grateful for the professionalism and dedication she brings to our department and our community each day.
Yesterday was also a special day of recognition for Officer Hodges, as she was honored by the Sikeston VFW for her heroic actions during a domestic assault earlier this year. Her willingness to put herself in harm’s way to protect another person is a powerful example of the bravery and selflessness we expect from those who wear the badge.
Please join us in congratulating and thanking Officer Kayla Hodges for her service, courage, and dedication to the citizens of Miner. We are proud to have her serving alongside us.
