Our Thanksgiving food drive is in its second week at Good Works Food Shelf, and we are preparing food for up to 200 families this year.

There are two simple ways to help. You can give through our GiveMN page, where about $50 helps provide Thanksgiving food for one family, or you can donate unopened, shelf-stable side items through November 13.

Drop off at 697 13th Avenue NE, Minneapolis, on Tuesdays 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or Fridays 3 to 6 p.m.

We're preparing Thanksgiving food for up to 200 families at Good Works Food Shelf this year. Last year, with your help, we served 167 families. There are two ways to help this season:

Give: Our goal is to raise $10,000. About $50 helps provide Thanksgiving food for one family, and any amount helps. Donate here: https://www.givemn.org/story/thanksgiving2026/

Donate food: We're collecting Thanksgiving side items through November 13. We need mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, gravy packets, cornbread mix, stuffing, cream of mushroom soup, cranberry sauce, macaroni and cheese, and cake mix. Please bring unopened, shelf-stable items to 697 13th Avenue NE, Minneapolis, on Tuesdays 11 a.m.–1 p.m. or Fridays 3–6 p.m.

At Good Works Food Shelf, our volunteers are the heart of what we do. From helping set up the shelves, delivering food to families, and greeting guests as they arrive, every role plays a part in making sure our neighbors feel welcomed and supported.
If you’re looking for a way to give back, we would love to have you join our volunteer team.
