Imhotep Science Academy and Initiatives Saturday, K-8th grade STEM program, Annual Imhotep Science Fair & College Prep programs ISA enriches students’ culture, worldview, perspective and values.

The Imhotep Science Academy (ISA) helps form and shape great African identities and personalities in our youth, like Imhotep, Asa Hilliard, Cheikh Anta Diop, Asantewa, Kwame Nkrumah, Julius Nyerere, Nelson Mandela and Marcus Garvey. Specifically we are exposing and shaping the next generation of scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians that will creatively solve the many challenging issues concerning our community and world. Outcomes
ISA provides a world of experiences that help students build many skills. Below are some of the benefits from participating in ISA activities.
• Students learn ways of solving issues that confront the African community
• Students develop public speaking & communication skills.
• Students build their confidence, self-concept & self-esteem.
• Students establish positive life-time relationships with their peers and community.
• Students are exposed to various STEM fields and careers and envision themselves in these fields while maintaining their African grounding. A program of the Network for the Development of Children of African Descent
In partnership with the Cultural Wellness Center
A member of the Council of Independent Black Institutions

All instructors are volunteers. Parents and community members provide critical resources for the successful operation of ISA
