Aeon has received a grant from the Andersen Corporate Foundation!

This funding keeps important work moving forward across our communities, from preserving affordable homes to creating places where residents can build stability and put down roots.

We’re excited to put this support to work. Thank you so much to the Andersen Corporate Foundation!

A huge thank you to Sunrise Banks for donating backpacks, school supplies, and water bottles for families living at Aeon properties!

Sunrise employees also took time to write notes for students to receive along with their school supplies. These everyday essentials, and the messages that came with them, can make a meaningful difference as students head into the school year feeling prepared.

We’re so grateful to the Sunrise Banks team for showing up for kids and families in our communities! 💙

Watching the community garden at The Crest come to life this season has been such a joy! A few weeks ago, residents began the harvest and garden cleanup, and we were amazed by how much produce was still growing. Staff brought the remaining produce inside and set it out for residents to enjoy and share.

One of the most meaningful parts of the season was seeing residents come down to pick something fresh, take it home to cook, and share it with others. It was a simple but powerful reminder of how gardens can bring people together.

We’re also so grateful for master gardeners from the University of Minnesota, who guided throughout the season and shared so much knowledge along the way. Thank you to everyone who helped make this garden season such a success!

Residents at Blooming Meadows North recently had the opportunity to connect with the League of Women Voters Minnesota and learn more about voting, registration, and the resources available to help them participate in upcoming elections.

Events like this are a great way to bring helpful information directly into our communities and create space for residents to ask questions and feel more prepared.

Thank you to the League of Women Voters Minnesota for spending time with residents and sharing these resources!

A home can provide stability, but sometimes people need support in other parts of life, too.

That’s where partners like Avivo come in!

Avivo works with individuals and families across Minnesota, providing support with housing, mental health and recovery, employment, career training, and connections to other community resources. Their goal is to help people move toward greater stability, opportunity, and independence.

We’re grateful to partner with Avivo and to have their expertise supporting people in our communities! Currently, two of our communities work with Avivo: The Lamoreaux and The Continental.

As we head toward the end of the year, we’re reflecting on the many partnerships that help make this work possible. Support for Aeon helps us continue connecting residents with organizations like Avivo and the resources available right where they live.

In 2018, Franco was living out of his truck after experiencing the loss of his husband and, eventually, his home.

Then he found a home at Aeon’s Renaissance Box in Saint Paul! Franco found stability, community and a place where he could begin rebuilding his life. He became deeply involved in caring for nearby Wacouta Commons Park, dedicating hundreds of hours to tending its gardens and creating a welcoming space for his neighbors, and won an award.

Through loss, homelessness and even a cancer diagnosis, home has remained an important source of stability for Franco.

Today, his story shows what can become possible when someone has a safe, stable place to call home.

In 2018, on his birthday, Franco became homeless. Years later, he’s found home, community, and hope. Here's how stable housing changed his life.

Did you know? One of the first ways Aeon was able to create housing was through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program (LIHCT), created by the federal goverment in 1986. Aeon held one of the country's earliest funded projects with LIHTC.

The Low-Income Tax Credit program is not only still around, but plays an even larger role in developments across the United States. In fact, in 2026, LIHTC was allowed a ceiling of $1.2 billion and is extremely competitive!
