Affordable doesn't have to mean bland.

That was part of the thinking behind Prairie Oaks Townhomes, a PRG rehabilitation development in the Phillips neighborhood.

In 1985, the project earned Arvid Elness Architects an Honor Award from the Minnesota Society of the American Institute of Architects.

Prairie Oaks showed that modestly priced housing could still have thoughtful architecture and design.

Four decades later, that idea still feels important: everyone deserves a home designed with care.

A little time to recharge!

Last week, the PRG team joined our partners at Land Bank Twin Cities for a shared wellness afternoon at Right Spot Wellness in Roseville.

Our work keeps us busy, so it was great to step away for an afternoon, spend time together, and recharge.

Buying a home is only part of the journey. Keeping it matters too.

Unexpected job loss, rising property taxes, insurance costs, and other financial challenges can quickly put a homeowner in unfamiliar territory.

In 2025, PRG worked directly with homeowners to help them navigate those moments. We also brought what we were hearing from families to policymakers working on solutions.

Our goal is simple: help more people remain in the homes and communities they have worked so hard to build.

When the road narrowed, we got skinny!

In 2025, PRG found new ways to create affordable homeownership opportunities despite rising construction costs and a challenging housing market.

We designed homes for smaller lots. We created a more accessible home for a buyer who wants to age in place. We moved forward with our first duplex. We even took on a rehabilitation that required lifting an entire house to replace its foundation.

Different challenges. Different solutions. One goal: creating more places for families to call home.
