We have had some complaints on East Oxford road about speeding, speed limit signs have been posted and the local sheriffs have been informed so please watch your speed. Thank you

This morning while the sky decided to open up we added and compacted reclaim at 3 of our road crossings, this not only helps the machines cross the road safely, but helps protect the town roads. Huge thanks to those who showed up to help! Many hands make light work! We had this done in an hour.

Did you know you don't have to be part of the club to attend meetings or help with a work party? Well now you do! Hope to see you soon! Next meeting is June 16th at 7pm located at the clubhouse on the Minot rail road bed in West Minot.

This is completely unacceptable... The landowners is not impressed and has threatened put a gate and to close the trail.. and to be honest, not sure how many more times we will fight to keep trails open... Hate to say it but people care less and less, help less and less and ride more... For now the trail from the RR bed to Village trading post is open but that may change...
Please spread the word to stay on the trails!!! Spread the word to your friends your family and your young ones who may not even ride yet.. Even if something happened out of your control where you had to bail off the trail (which this doesn't look to be the case) Don't spin your tires!!! Do that on your own property... Rototill your own lawn..

Do better....end rant

This is outrageous! Whoever the cuck is operating this machine needs to have it confiscated from them. Behavior like this is next to impossible to justify landowner access....

Maine Warden Service is looking for information regarding the owner and operator of a side by side ATV that struck and dragged a landowner who had stopped the ATV on his property.

Last night at approximately 8:30 p.m. on the Pequawket Lake Road in Limington, a landowner watched a side by side ATV ride through their property at a high rate of speed. When the ATV returned a few minutes later, the landowner was able to stop the ATV, and told him he needed to slow down. When the landowner attempted to photograph the ATV and the registration, the operator rapidly accelerated, striking the landowner and dragging him 75 feet before he got away. The landowner was treated at the hospital for abrasions and contusions and was released last night.

The ATV is a one bench side by side that seats two people and is gray and black in color with a prominent brush guard on the front of the ATV. The ATV was driven by a male operator in an orange shirt, with a female passenger who had dark hair.

Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Regional Communications Center dispatch in Augusta at 207-624-7076 ext. 9 or contact MaineOperation Game Thief at 1-800-ALERT-US or maineogt.org if they wish to remain anonymous.

With trail opening tomorrow we went around and inspected the trailheads and noticed that they needed a little care.. we put in a few yards of reclaim and rolled it with a small dump truck But please be cautious and try not to spin when crossing the road.. More work is needed and we have set up an event on our page for a work party June 7th at 9:00 am.

Trails open Friday May 22nd at noon, please ride respectfully and cautiously as there may still be a few washouts due to the last rain storm, also if you do encounter a trail closed sign please obey the closure as some of our land owners open and close their section of trail. Thank you and have fun!

ATV riders in Maine rely on public access to the private land on which 80 percent of the state-supported ATV trail system resides. Over the years ATV riding has grown in popularity and ATV design has evolved to include several different sizes, widths, weights, and horsepower. The potential impact of these oversized vehicles on the trails has raised concerns from landowners and ATV riders alike. In 2019 the ATV task force was formed to evaluate and recommend policy changes that would protect private lands and landowners, while also helping to preserve outdoor recreational opportunities including responsible ATV use. The oversized ATV law was initiated by the task force and went into effect in October 2021.

The attached show some models affected by this legislation.

Riding on trails before they are open for the season can cause significant damage and can result in landowners permanently closing trails to all users. Do your part to maintain Maine's ATV trails and wait until they are open.

When will the trails open? Conditions around the state are varied and the decision to open trails is managed by the property owner and/or the club or organization who maintains the trail system. Trails typically open in May in the southern half of the state and early June in the northern parts.

Do your part and respect private landowners and ATV clubs by obeying all mud season closure postings.

Thank you!
