Today, we’re celebrating Ms. Wylie, one of our wonderful 6th grade teachers at Queen’s Grant! With more than a decade of teaching experience, Ms. Wylie holds a BA in Communications, a BA in Education and a BS in Environmental Education.

Outside of the classroom, she enjoys traveling, hiking, spending time at the beach and soaking up the sun. She also loves spending time with her two cats, Bo and Harrison. 🐱 A fun fact about Ms. Wylie? She’s a huge boy band fan and has even met many of her favorites in person! 🎶 Her favorite book to share with scholars is Sherlock Holmes.

Thank you, Ms. Wylie, for all you do for our scholars! We’re so glad to have you at Queen’s Grant! 💙

Teacher Tuesday! Meet Ms. Dunn our incredible music teacher at Queen's Grant! Ms. Dunn has a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Concentration in Vocal Instruction. She enjoys reading and literature, traveling, music and the arts. She also loves making her own throw blankets! She is a cat mom to 2 black cats named Obbie and Teddy. Her favorite musical is Wicked as it was the first one she ever saw at the age of 10. The book she enjoys sharing with her scholars is Writing Better Lyrics: The Essential Guide to Powerful Songwriting by Pat Pattinson. We love having you with us Ms. Dunn!

🚔 School Safety Week: Celebrating Officer Kevin White!

Queen’s Grant is incredibly grateful for Officer Kevin White and the 17 years he has dedicated to serving and protecting his community. As he prepares for retirement, we want to recognize the positive impact he has made on our school community and thank him for his partnership and support.

While we’ll miss working with Officer White, we wish him all the best in this exciting next chapter!

A retirement ceremony will be held on October 20 at 2 p.m. at Mint Hill Town Hall. Those interested in attending can RSVP to [email protected].

Through our Moral Focus™ program, students at our Queen's Grant Community School learn how virtues like respect show up in everyday moments, like waiting patiently and letting others go first.

Teacher Tuesday! 🍎 Meet Ms. Suzanne Cukro, one of our amazing kindergarten teachers at Queen’s Grant! Ms. Cukro has over a decade of teaching experience and holds a BA in Biology and an MBA through Teachers of Tomorrow.

Outside the classroom, she enjoys reading, cooking and baking, traveling, going to the movies, trying new restaurants, paddle boarding and working out. One of her favorite books to share with her students is Our Class as a Family.
