Learning came to life in Mrs. Featherstone’s 6th grade social studies class as students stepped into the roles of archaeologists and anthropologists! After exploring the eight features of civilization, students designed their own island civilizations and built 3-D models to bring their creations to life.

From imagining communities to designing their own unique worlds, our students put their knowledge, creativity, and critical-thinking skills to work. And just look at these impressive projects! 👏🏻👏🏻 When students have opportunities to create, explore, and investigate, learning becomes so much more than memorizing facts. They develop critical-thinking skills, unleash their creativity, and take ownership of their learning. These are the experiences that make learning meaningful and memorable long after the lesson ends!

🍁🎉🎃Middle School Knightfest! Thank you to Mrs. Rinaggio and the high school leadership club for planning and organizing this annual fall event to create special memories for our middle school Knights! From tasty refreshments, to inflatables and a ton of fun games, these students enjoyed a beautiful day of fellowship and fall fun. We are so appreciative to everyone who made this event possible!👏🏼

We are excited to announce the two winners of the "Skip the Car Rider Line" fundraiser — Middle school winners are Brandon, Michele and Jaxon Bivens! ⚖️ Bringing Constitutional Law to Life! 🇺🇸

Mr. Goodnight's history students stepped into the courtroom for a hands-on Supreme Court simulation! The challenge? Determine whether the President has the constitutional authority to ban a social media app.

Student legal teams analyzed competing arguments, applied key constitutional principles, and presented their cases before a student-led Supreme Court. Through this engaging activity, students explored the balance between executive power and constitutional limits while strengthening their critical thinking, legal reasoning, and persuasive speaking skills.

At Gray Stone Day School, learning goes beyond the textbook and gives students the opportunity to put their knowledge into action! 📚👏
