Thank you to our outreach team for helping Robert back into housing!

Robert and his dog stayed at Reseda Park, finding shelter and safety in his car. He was also struggling to recover from a physical disability when he was recently struck by a car. Thankfully, our outreach case manager Maria was able to make contact with Robert to provide him with the essentials: food, water, and a referral to interim housing services!

Now, Robert and his dog are finally indoors again at ABH The Willows. He is overjoyed at this temporary shelter, getting along with the other residents and having access to warm meals and a safe place to rest while he awaits permanent housing. Congratulations, Robert!

Welcome home, Sherri! 🙌🏡 When Sherri fell into homelessness, she had to rely on her own car as her shelter. She was scared to fall asleep at night and worried if she’d ever have a place to call home again.

With Hope the Mission, Sherri found safety and security, as well as consistent case management with her case manager Jasmine. She also worked with our mental health team, completed 100 hours of community service, and received training on housing readiness.

Thanks to the supportive staff at our Raymer site, Sherri made tremendous progress and secured placement in a Permanent Supportive Housing building! Here, she can afford her rent and continue to receive Hope’s ongoing case management and mental health support. Congratulations Sherri!! 🎉❤️

After a long journey of homelessness and recovery, Jeanette now has a place of her own 💫❤️

Living without stable housing brought a tremendous amount of stress on Jeanette. Her mental health battled with depression, paranoia, and PTSD. And her concerns for physical safety were constant. While she had no support system, she was still the sole provider for her children.

With Hope the Mission, Jeanette was provided with services like shelter placement, medical treatment, mental health services, and engagement with the UCLA Outreach Team. And while her financial hardships made it hard to escape poverty, her case management helped her develop budgeting skills.

Thanks to the determination of Jeanette and our Reseda Tiny Homes staff, she saved enough money to secure her own apartment! She is currently housed and remains engaged with case management. This stable housing has lifted an enormous weight off her shoulders, where she is now in a better place to focus on her mental health. Welcome home, Jeanette! 🙏🏡

Thank you to our amazing Outreach team and Navigation Center staff for helping Alexandra get back home to her family ❤️🙏

Alexandra came from Illinois seeking Substance Use Disorder treatment. Due to unforeseen circumstances, she was unable to complete her program and became homeless. All while being over a thousand miles from her family and 4-year-old child.

Thankfully, she was able to make contact with case manager Veronica and peer specialists Jaime, who introduced her to Hope’s life-saving services. Alexandra soon accepted enrollment into the family reunification program and began working with Veronica.

Now, she has finally reunited with her family and is receiving much needed support from them. With a roof over her head and access to basic needs, Alexandra has a strong motivation to continue her journey to sobriety. Congratulations Alexandra!! 🥳🎉✨

Congratulations to Guadalupe on receiving permanent supportive housing! 🎉🙌 Guadalupe was staying at our Inside Safe CD-7 location at the Budget Inn until he was matched with PSH. Guadalupe was anxious about being on his own but knew that this was an incredible opportunity.

He’s overjoyed to now have a place of his own and remains grateful for the support of his case manager, employee specialist, and housing navigator Nila and the inspiration they gave him. Guadalupe is excited to take the next step on his journey and reunite with his family. Welcome home ❤️🏡
