10 YEARS OF THE CEED!

On October 12, 2016, Mission EDC opened the doors to the Center for Education and Economic Development (CEED) with a vision to create a space where education, innovation and entrepreneurship could come together.

A decade later, the CEED continues to bring that vision to life. From workforce training and small business development to community partnerships and innovative programming, the facility has become a place where connections are made and opportunities take shape.

Today, we celebrate 10 years of progress, the partners and people who made it possible, and everything still ahead for the CEED.

Here's to the next decade of opportunity in Mission!

October is Manufacturing Month, and Mission has a lot to celebrate.

Manufacturing continues to strengthen Mission’s economy through new investment, quality jobs and growing opportunities.

In 2026 alone, Stanley Black & Decker, Bettcher Manufacturing, ZERLUMA and Ecoat.us announced more than $63 million in investment and 183+ new jobs in Mission.

And our manufacturing story goes far beyond this year. Companies like RODCO Steel, Royal Technologies and other manufacturers across our city continue to invest, grow and make Mission an important part of their operations.

This Manufacturing Month, we’re proud to celebrate the companies and people who make it in Mission every day.

More investment. More opportunity. More Mission.
