The deadline is tonight! Don't let them erase us!

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is proposing dangerous changes to its National Health Interview Survey.

Since 1957, this survey has been a vital tool for informing the government about the health of Americans, including Americans with disabilities. The government uses this data to make decisions about funding for critical programs, research, and services that benefit disabled people.

The proposed changes to the survey would remove disability-related questions -- specifically about intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) -- and reduce the detail collected about disabled people’s health and experiences.

If these changes go through, our community and the fullness of our experiences would be erased from public life.

We urge you to join our comment campaign to stop these changes and to share it with your personal networks.

--> Comments must be received by Monday, October 19 at 11:59 pm ET.

Submit a comment urging the CDC to preserve data that helps shape policies, funding, and services for disabled people.
