Tonight’s 4th District debate was civil and issues driven (as it should be). Thank you to Democratic candidate Dave Dawson and Republican candidate Chris McGowan for showing up to share your visions!

We don’t need more “yes men” in the State Legislature.

We need legislators with the vision and gumption to fight for rural Iowa - even if that means standing up to their own party.

Water quality. Public education. Rural healthcare. Local control. Economic prosperity. Property rights.

These are the issues that matter to our communities. They’re also areas where the majority party has failed to deliver time and time again.

It’s time for a new path.

Early voting starts October 14th. Election Day is November 3rd. Make a plan to vote for Benjamin Schauer for House District 15.

Perhaps Senator Chuck Grassley wouldn’t have to be concerned about this if he’d retired a few decades ago…
