Last night around 9:00 pm, Seven Hills and County EMS were dispatched to Fred Freeland Rd for an overturned vehicle w/ entrapment. County’s Critical Care Paramedic Unit also responded. Crews arrived on scene to one patient partially trapped inside and under a vehicle. Due to location and mechanism of injury, AirCare was launched for a scene landing.

Due to Patient’s position under the vehicle, a pneumatic lift system was set up. This involved vehicle stabilization in place as well, stabilizing while lifting the vehicle to protect the patient and rescue personnel rendering care.

Pt was safely removed and turned over to County EMS’s Crew for stabilization and preparation for transport. Medstar’s AirCare arrived on scene for transport. A special thanks to all personnel on scene for working together along w/ 911 Communications Division for processing the call and relaying information between additional agencies involved. These type of incidents call for a more meticulous operation, all while trying to expedite extrication and transport for the Patient. Hats off to everyone working together here.
