🇺🇸 Honoring Those Who Served 🇺🇸

Mocksville Rotary was honored to welcome Tyler Dixon, of The Heroes Center t o a recent lunch meeting to share the incredible work they are doing for veterans and their families.

The Heroes Center is much more than a place to turn in a time of need. They help veterans find a path forward by connecting them with resources, opportunities and a community of support.

Some of the services they provide include:

🏠 Emergency & transitional housing
💼 Employment and job resources
🎖️ VA benefits assistance & connections
🍽️ Food and basic needs support
🛠️ Life skills and transition assistance
🤝 Connections to community and veteran-service organizations
❤️ Programs that build connection, purpose and quality of life

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn more about an organization that works every day to ensure our veterans and their families have the support they need to thrive.

🚒✨ Celebrating the incredible work happening right here in Mocksville! ✨🚒

Mocksville Rotary was excited to welcome Shannon Ford with Cognition Davie Children’s Museum to a recent lunch meeting! Shannon shared the many ways COGNITION is inspiring curiosity, creativity, exploration and hands-on learning for children and families throughout our community.

We are proud to support an organization that is helping our youngest residents play, learn, create and discover—and we can’t wait to see our community come together for two very special upcoming events!

🚨 TOUCH-A-TRUCK & CARNIVAL 🚨
📅 Saturday, September 26
⏰ 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
📍 Downtown Mocksville

Bring the whole family for a FREE morning of hands-on fun! Kids (and kids at heart!) can explore all kinds of cool trucks and vehicles, enjoy carnival games and prizes, music, food trucks and more. Admission is free, with a suggested $5 donation to support COGNITION’s mission. The event is rain or shine!

COGNITION is bringing even more holiday magic to our community with THE POLAR EXPRESS this Christmas season. Be sure to watch visit for details and make plans to join the fun the same weekend as the Mocksville Christmas Parade!
