💚✨ WINNING WEDNESDAY: A COMMUNITY THAT SHOWS UP! ✨💚
Today, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the wins, the generosity, and the incredible people who continue to stand alongside Food Initiative (FIGS) during this challenging time. When we say it takes a community to make a difference, we mean it! ❤️

🚛 WINNING #1: THANK YOU, COLLEGE AVENUE CHURCH!
We want to give a HUGE shoutout to College Avenue Church for once again stepping up and securing additional funding to help cover the cost of our recent truck repairs! 🙌💚 Our truck is essential to getting healthy food directly into the neighborhoods that need it most, and keeping it on the road means we can continue serving our community. Your continued generosity and support mean more than words can express. Thank you for believing in our mission and showing up when we need it most!

🥕 WINNING #2: OUR FIRST HEALTHY MOBILE FOOD PANTRY IN CERES!
What an incredible turnout! 🎉 We recently held our very first Healthy Mobile Food Pantry in Ceres, and we were thrilled to serve 65 NEW FAMILIES who needed food assistance! 💚
Every new family represents another household gaining access to healthy food, another barrier being removed, and another opportunity to remind our community that everyone deserves access to nutritious food with dignity and respect.
We are so grateful for the warm welcome and the opportunity to serve even more of our neighbors!

🥫 WINNING #3: 12 PALLETS OF FOOD!
A HUGE thank-you to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for donating 12 PALLETS of shelf-stable food items! 💚🙌 This generous donation will help us continue getting food into the hands of individuals and families who need it. We are incredibly grateful for partners who believe in feeding our community and take action to make it happen!

💚 WINNING #4: OUR COMMUNITY CONTINUES TO SHOW UP!
To everyone who has donated, shared our posts, volunteered, contributed financially, or simply encouraged us during this difficult season, THANK YOU! Every act of kindness matters. As many of you know, we are working hard to keep our doors open and continue serving the more than 60,000 individuals who depend on our programs each year. We may be facing difficult times, but these moments remind us why we keep going. We cannot do this alone, and we are so thankful for every person and organization standing with us. ❤️

🎯 DON’T FORGET TO VOTE FOR FIGS!
Our Target Circle campaign runs through December 31st! If you haven’t voted for Food Initiative yet, please take a moment to do so. Every vote is another opportunity to support our mission and help us continue providing healthy food to our community. 💚

🌸 HELP US KEEP OUR DOORS OPEN! 🌸

After 50 years of serving our community, FIGS, The Food Initiative is still fighting to keep our doors open, and we still need your help. ❤️

We are working with the bare minimum resources, doing everything we can to continue providing healthy food to families and individuals throughout our community. With only two paid staff members and the incredible help of our volunteers, we are doing our very best to keep our programs running. But we cannot do it alone. We need our community to stand with us.

Every monetary donation, no matter the amount, helps us continue our mission of making healthy food an essential item, not a privilege. Every dollar makes a difference in helping us cover the costs of food, fuel, electricity, refrigeration, and the everyday expenses that keep our doors open.

🌷 HERE ARE WAYS YOU CAN HELP! 🌷

💐 Come visit us on Flower Wednesdays and Fridays! Stop by, pick up some beautiful flowers, and make a donation to support our mission. Your generosity helps us keep serving those who need us.

💚 A HUGE THANK YOU TO ELEVATE YOGA! 🧘‍♀️✨

We want to give a heartfelt shout-out to Elevate Yoga for their incredible support of Food Initiative of Greater Stanislaus (FIGS)! 💚

We are so grateful for their generosity, kindness, and willingness to help us make a difference in our community. Not only are they supporting our mission, but they are also helping us create a fundraiser where 100% of the proceeds go directly to FIGS! 🙌💚

When local businesses step up to support local nonprofits, amazing things happen! It takes a community coming together to ensure our neighbors have access to the healthy, nutritious food they deserve. Every dollar raised helps us continue serving families, seniors, and individuals throughout Stanislaus County.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU, Elevate Yoga, for standing with us, believing in our mission, and helping us continue the work we do. 💚

✨ Want to show them some love? Check out Elevate Yoga, support their business, and help spread the word about this wonderful fundraiser!

Together, we are stronger. Together, we can make a difference. And together, we can help make healthy food an essential, not a privilege. 🥦💚

My name is Sue Zwahlen. I have served as a board member for nearly 30 years. Decades ago my mother told me two women saw a need for food for struggling families and opened a pantry. Their legacy continues today through FIGS. Our desire is to assure that every family has healthy food. As a wife, mother and nurse I know how important it is for everyone to have good food to sustain our families to function at school, work and play. I’m honored to do what I can to help feed families in our community.

After 50 Years of Feeding Our Community, We Have Just 60 Days Left to Keep Our Doors Open.

For over 50 years, FIGS has helped put fresh, nutritious food on the tables of families and seniors throughout our community. Today, that mission is at risk.

With the rising costs of food, fuel, and the growing number of people needing assistance, we are facing one of the greatest financial challenges in our organization’s history.
Despite keeping our operating expenses as low as possible, we have approximately two months of funding remaining before we may be forced to close our doors.

Our goal is simple: Keep our 21 Mobile Farmers Markets operating and continue feeding the families who depend on us.

While much of our food is donated, it still takes funding to make food distribution possible. Rent, electricity, refrigeration, fuel, truck maintenance, and basic operating expenses are essential to keeping our doors open and our trucks moving.

We don’t need more programs. We need the financial support to sustain the ones our community already relies on.

After 50 years of serving our neighbors, we’re asking our community to stand alongside us.

Every donation, large or small, helps us continue this important work.

Food donations fill our trucks. Financial donations keep them moving.

Help Us Keep Our Doors Open.

Donate today and help protect 50 years of service to our community.
