Halloween Road Closure
ROAD CLOSURE ADVISORY
SATURDAY OCTOBER 31, 2026
5:15PM TO 7:15 PM
On October 31, 2026, beginning at 5:15 pm, the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic during trick or treat. This includes ATVs, golfcarts, and any other forms of motorized transportation; motorized chairs with limited speed capabilities specifically designed for assisting the physically handicapped in moving will be permitted:
Argonne, Orchard, Prospect, Louise, Herbert and Herbert Extension, Curtis and Curtis Extension, James, Joel, Elizabeth, Fenton, Dick Street, Holcomb, Cramer, Norris, Williams, Kavanaugh, Kester, Seymour, Donovan, Norwich and Marion.
Hale Avenue will be open for access to Somers Elementary and Lions Park for parking for those visiting. Parking will be prohibited from 4:30pm to 7:15 pm on Hale Avenue.
We expect that roads will begin to open at 7pm upon the conclusion of trick or treat. Residents are asked to plan accordingly. Delivery drivers will not have access; Amazon and Door Dash have been advised. If you need to order food, do so before the road closure begins. Should a resident need to come into or leave these areas, please call 330-628-9575 for assistance and an officer will assist you.
Disregarding the barricades, or other traffic control devices may result in traffic citation. The police department’s DRONEs will be in use to assist in providing security to these areas. Your call for assistance will go immediately to incident command and assistance will be provided in the order of the calls in which they are received. All emergency calls will continue to be made through the 911 system.
