Days like today remind me just how blessed I am to have the best library board, volunteers, patrons, and community a girl could ever ask for! ❤️
Between the last-minute chaos, pouring rain, and a few hiccups along the way, our people showed up and got it done!
I'm so incredibly thankful for everyone who dropped what they were doing to help, including the family reinforcements I had to call in! 😂❤️
Our little library may be small, but the hearts behind it are HUGE! I couldn't be more proud or appreciative of the people who help make all of this possible. I'm one lucky library director to have you all in my corner! ❤️

🚨 SURPRISE! FEED ELK COUNTY MOBILE FOOD DISTRIBUTION IS TODAY! 🚨

Well, we just got an unexpected change of plans! Our mobile food truck is coming TODAY, Wednesday, October 14, instead of next week!

📍 Moline Community Center

🚛 9:15 AM – Truck arrives! Volunteers, we could use your help unloading!

🥫 1:00 PM – Regular food distribution begins!

❤️ As always, there are NO income requirements!

We know this is extremely short notice, but we're going to make it happen!

PLEASE SHARE so we can get the word out to as many Elk County families as possible! ❤️

Today, a carload of amazing women proudly represented Elk County at the annual SEKLS Regional Meeting! 📚💙

We learned a lot, enjoyed great fellowship, and came home with fresh ideas to strengthen our libraries and better serve our schools and communities. I’m so proud to work alongside these dedicated ladies from across the county!

We also had the opportunity to celebrate 60 years of the Southeast Kansas Library System! Howard City Library

I got to chat about our little library doing BIG things with a group of people working for kiddos and families all across Kansas! 💙

I had the opportunity to co-present with Jessie Hoag from Library and share how our small rural libraries are creating spaces where kids can play and learn, families can connect, and community partners can meet families right where they are.

It’s always fun getting to share what’s happening in our small Kansas communities and show that small libraries can make a BIG impact!
