This is a DRILL! Monaca EMA Emergency Operations Center, with Center Twp., was involved in the Beaver Valley Power Station Drill, which started around 4 pm and lasted until 9 pm. I would like to thank all who participated in the drill. We had two evaluators working as contractors with FEMA to evaluate our operations, one from Southern California and the other from Chattanooga. We also had an observer from PEMA here. They were very pleased with how the team worked and operated. This is a DRILL!

This week, we celebrate the calm voices behind the chaos — our Telecommunicators. 🖤💛

During Telecommunicator Week, we recognize the dedication, strength, and compassion it takes to be the first point of contact in someone’s worst moment. They are the steady voice in emergencies, the unseen heroes who make a difference every single day. We appreciate you!
