HAPPY NATIONAL VFW DAY!

Today, we celebrate 127 years of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the generations of veterans who have carried its mission forward.

On September 29, 1899, a small group of Spanish-American War veterans came together in Columbus, Ohio, with a shared purpose: to support their fellow veterans and the families of those who had fallen. That beginning would grow into the Veterans of Foreign Wars, an organization that continues to serve veterans, service members, their families, and communities across the country.

Here at VFW Post 9509 in Moncks Corner, we are proud to be part of that 127-year legacy. To our Comrades who continue to serve long after taking off the uniform, and to our Auxiliary members who stand beside them—thank you for everything you do.

Happy 127th Birthday to the VFW! Here’s to continuing the legacy of service, camaraderie, and community.
