We’re in the final stretch of collecting supplies for our Emergency Self-Care Kits for teens, and we’d love your help getting across the finish line!

Here’s what we still need:
200 Regular Pads
100 Overnight / Heavy Pads
100 Granola, protein, or snack bars
100 Fruit Snacks
100 Instant macaroni & cheese, ramen, or soup cups
100 Bottles of Water
100 Electrolyte Packets
Gum, mints, and individually wrapped candies

We’ll be collecting donations through October 1st. Whether you can donate one item, a package, or help us knock out an entire category, every contribution makes a difference. Let’s come together, finish these kits, and show what a community can accomplish when we look out for one another.

All other items have been donated so far which is incredible. Thank you to everyone who has already donated, shared, and supported this project!

Last week, our community showed us just how much they care about our teens. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us get started on this project!!

This September, Monett Library Youth Services is continuing our focus on something simple but important: reminding our teens that they matter, they are valued, and their community cares about them.

This week, we’re collecting personal care essentials to include in our Self-Care Kits for Teens. Having the basics on hand can make a big difference when a young person needs a little extra comfort, confidence, or support.

Week Two Donation Goals:
200 regular pads
100 heavy-flow/overnight pads
25 additional hair ties & scrunchies
84 additional pairs of fuzzy socks

Donations can be dropped off at Monett Library throughout the week.

These may seem like small things, but small things matter. Having the basics available, feeling comfortable, and knowing that someone thought ahead for you can be a meaningful reminder that you are cared for and you have people in your corner.

Thank you for helping us build 100 Self-Care Kits and, more importantly, for helping us show the young people in our community that they matter.
