This week's happenings at The Vision.....

On Thursday, our third and fourth grade students attended the Annual Fire Extravaganza sponsored by the Monroe City Fire Department. Students learned about fire safety and witnessed first hand exactly what firemen do on a daily basis. Three of our students won bicycles based on their entries in the poster contest. A great time was had by all.

On today, those students who modeled Trojan excellence were treated to an ice cream party.

We are so grateful to Mayor Friday Ellis, Chief Timothy Williams, and the City of Monroe Firemen for stopping by today to talk to our PK-2 scholars about Fire Prevention Week. Students learned about what we do in case of a fire, when to dial 9-1-1, and emergency plans for at home. The firemen read books and asked questions as well. Finally, students were able to climb aboard the firetruck and look inside. A great time was had by all!!
