Please join us for our Post-Growing Season Burn Field Trip at Jess Martin’s property on Tuesday, October 6. This will be a good opportunity to see the results of a growing-season prescribed burn firsthand.

We will walk the recently burned unit and discuss fire effects, fuel reduction, quail habitat, and control of sweetgum and other undesirable understory vegetation. This will be a practical, on-the-ground discussion for landowners and anyone interested in using prescribed fire.

Registration begins at 5:00 PM, with the field tour starting at 5:30 PM. Dinner and discussion will follow the tour.
