πŸ”¬πŸ’» TEEN SCIENCE CAFΓ‰: TECHNOLOGY MEETS PERSONALITY!

Our Teen Science CafΓ© students enjoyed a special presentation from Mrs. Taite, who shared how technology impacts our lives and the many career opportunities that rely on it.

Afterward, students got creative by designing posters featuring four pictures that represent who they are. Each student presented their poster to the group, building confidence and strengthening communication skills along the way!

πŸ―πŸ’™πŸ’› And check out Casey showing off his TIGER PRIDE! We love seeing our students express themselves while developing skills they'll use well beyond the classroom.

A big thank-you to Mrs. Taite for sharing her time and knowledge with our students!

If our principal had $1 for every time someone said, β€œHey, can I ask you a quick question?” he could probably retire early! October is National Principals' Month and we want to show our gratitude to the leader of our dear MCHS.

From the first bell to the last (and usually long after), there's always someone needing something. Yet somehow, he manages to keep things moving, even on the days when absolutely nothing goes as planned!

We know his job isn't easy, and we probably don't tell him enough how much we appreciate everything he does for our school.

So today, we're saying THANK YOU for putting up with all of us and our never-ending β€œquick questions!” We appreciate you more than you know!

Happy Principal Appreciation Day! πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ―

A big thank you to the Ayn Rand Institute for donating 30 brand-new copies of Ayn Rand's Anthem to Monroe County High School through their Free Books for Teachers Program!

We are so grateful for this generous donation and the opportunity to get more books into the hands of our students. Seeing our students receive books of their own is always something special, and it's even better knowing there are organizations willing to help make that happen.

Thank you to the Ayn Rand Institute for supporting our teachers, our students, and literacy in our school. Your kindness and generosity mean so much to us!

πŸ”¬πŸ§« Biology in Action at MCHS! 🧬

Ms. Boykin’s freshman Biology students participated in a hands-on microscope lab where they observed different specimens under low- and high-power magnification. They sketched their observations, compared cell shapes and structures, and explored the differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Students also practiced scientific inquiry by asking questions and developing ways to classify the cells they observed.

Learning science is even more exciting when students can see it for themselves! πŸ§ͺπŸ”

A HUGE thank you to Harrigan Lumber Company for their incredibly generous donation of 40 BRAND-NEW Goosebumps books to the MCHS Library!

We are absolutely thrilled! Thanks to their generosity, we have officially surpassed the 100-book mark in our mission to put a Goosebumps book into the hands of every student at Monroe County High School!

It's community support like this that makes projects like Operation Goosebumps possible. We are so grateful to Harrigan Lumber for investing in our students, supporting literacy, and helping us bring a little excitement and a whole lot of reading to MCHS!

104 books collected. 204 to go!

Thank you, Harrigan Lumber Company, for helping us turn this goal into a reality, one book at a time!

Is it time for your car to have an oil change? Tires rotated and balanced? Do you need new windshield wiper blades? Did you know that our league’s sponsoring dealership, Lee Motor Company, can service all makes and models?

Now through November 30, 2026, please stop by Lee Motor Company to have your car’s routine maintenance needs taken care of. Then, while you’re there waiting for your vehicle to be serviced, please ask the staff to let you take a test drive to benefit Monroe County High School Football through the Chevy Youth Sports program.

For each test drive taken, Lee Motor Company will donate $25 to MCHS Football through November 30, 2026, while supplies last. This support is in addition to the monetary donation Lee Motor Company has already provided through the Chevy Youth Sports program.

We need Monroe County High School supporters to complete test drives so we can earn the full $500 available, so we hope we can count on your help!

Once your test drive has been completed, it must be validated to count towards our fundraising goal! Please ask the staff at DEALERSHIP for the test drive validation key code, which you’ll need to type in at www.Chevrolet.com/Experience in order for your drive to count!

Thank you!
