Waterwise Community Center We are a public agency whose goal is the protection of the Chino Groundwater Basin. We look forward to seeing you!

The District’s commitment to conservation is two-pronged:

--Provide water conservation education to diminish demands on the area’s water supply: The District’s educational approach addresses individuals, school districts, organizations, and municipalities within its service area. The District’s Water Conservation Center is a unique resource for the area with dedicated classroom space and a Demonstration Garden with real-life examples of Water Wise Landscaping best practices.

--Utilize percolation basins and spreading grounds to increase the area’s water supply: The use of percolation basins and spreading grounds to replenish the Chino Basin Aquifer has made the District one of the first agencies in California to take a pro-active role in region-wide water conservation. The District provides many resources to help you on your own conservation journey. You will find them outlined in these pages here and you can also come visit us at our Water Conservation Center and Water Wise Demonstration Garden to learn more about how you can conserve water.

As a part of California Water Professionals Appreciation Week, Chino Basin Water Conservation District is proud to take a moment and highlight the essential role of water and wastewater services.

We appreciate the dedication of our highly trained technicians, specialists, and workers who ensure our community understands the true value of water while safeguarding our local water supply through maintenance of our recharge basins.

We're sending a big "THANK YOU" to all exhibitors, volunteers, vendors, and attendees who joined us this past Saturday at our Waterwise Garden & Pumpkin Fest!

Through the scorching heat, everyone came out in force and made our Fest the Best! Without each and every person that showed up, we wouldn't have had such an absolutely amazing time.

Please join us in welcoming our new Teaching Assistants, Sophie Michelson & Dani Vazquez, to the Chino Basin Water Conservation District!

We are excited for them join our Community Engagement team as the lead educators for our K-12th grade field trip program. Their skills will prove invaluable to the team, as they will also assist with the planning our community events and will take on special projects as they arise.
